I am a therapist (NLC.0106219) certified in Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), an experiential based method that is designed to get to the root of what’s going on quickly. After exploring a wide range of techniques, I chose AEP methods as I found them the most effective in delivering long-lasting, core level shifts in how we relate to ourselves and others.

As a college student at UCLA, I was having a rough time. My drive to be perfect and to be what others wanted created heavy self-criticism, bottled up emotions/resentments, and behaviors that simply didn’t work. I vividly remember having a thought, “I think some of the negative conversations I’m having about myself aren’t too healthy.” I have no idea where this thought came from or why I had such clarity; but, thankfully, my college roommate, a grad student that was much older (and wiser) than me, suggested I go to the student psychological services on campus.

It was turning point in my life.

I was awed by how something as simple as sharing myself in a safe environment had the power to alter the trajectory of my life. I was able to rewrite my story and open up to possibilities in relationships and in life that were seemingly out of my reach.

Since then, I began a journey to seek out the most rigorous, compassionate and skilled teachers from all over the world, from India to Illinois, from Buddhist meditation to behavioral psychology, to help me open up, take risks, and allow myself to be vulnerable. These experiences have humbled me, given me a profound respect for the courage it takes to grapple with what life brings our way, and enabled me to provide the kind of space for my clients that was provided for me.

You might as easily find me chanting in Sanskrit as watching college basketball, praying at a cathedral to playing soccer. My wide range of experiences has benefited my clients who come from all lifestyles, religious/spiritual backgrounds, gender orientations, and cultures.I am also the co-author of a book published about personality types in the workplace called The Sweet Spot: Leveraging Your Talents in Leadership and Life.
