Divorce Support Group

This is a group for divorcing or divorced adults who are looking for support through their transition. Not many of us get married with the intention of getting divorced. This was not part of the plan, and often it hits us a lot harder than we even imagined, even if we are the person who initiated the divorce, even if it was mutual and amicable. Divorce can bring up emotions that can range from general feelings of sadness and incompletion to feelings of utter devastation, like we have been hit by a truck and are struggling to just make it through a normal day. And many of us are not only concerned about the impact the divorce is having on our own physical and mental health, but the impact on those around us, our co-workers, children, friends, etc. How do we move on? How do we get past this to trust and love again? How do we let go? By simply sharing ourselves with each other in a safe environment intended solely for the purpose of dealing with divorce, profound shifts can take place. By naming what’s there and getting to the root of why we feel the way we do, we can free ourselves, begin to let go, and experience the healing that happens when you realize you are not alone.

In order to participate in these groups, I require that all new members meet with me individually first. I prefer to get to know potential members before officially inviting them to the group in order to make sure that it is a good fit for everyone involved. Please feel free to contact me directly, texting is best.
